  1.                              TURNING THE UNIT ON 
  2.                    AND CONTROLLING POSITIONING

  4. The slit-lamp is turned on and off and the light intensity is controlled by the unit mounted 
  5. below the table.  
  6.  
  7. The movement of the slit-lamp biomicroscope laterally and in and out controlled by the 
  8. joystick.  The vertical adjustment is 
  9. accomplished by twisting the joystick-clockwise to raise and counter-clockwise to lower.
  10.  
  11. The unit can be locked so it does not move 
  12. by the small knob near the table top on the 
  13. right side.  This should belocked when not 
  14. in use so the unit is not damaged when it is 
  15. swung out of the way if on the stand or 
  16. when the table is moved.
